Planetary Webquest
You are volunteering to travel into space to make a movie about the Solar System. The local TV station SCIONE has given you the name of the planet that they would like you to visit. Gather all of the information below and create a video that includes audio and visual effects to highlight your planet. The more information and the more creative your video is the more appealing it will be to your audience.
TASK
1. Find a picture of your planet by looking at the websites provided.
2. Gather as much information as you can with your partner to create a film presentation of your planet. Your film must contain the following information
a. Name,
b. Order from the sun
c. Distance from Sun,
d. Earth years to make one rotation
e. Number of Moons/rings,
f. Type of planet (rocky or gaseous)
g. Tilt of axis of the planet to the plane of its orbit
h. Direction it rotates on its axis (clockwise/counterclockwise)
i. Water?
j. Composition of atmosphere,
k. Surface Temperatures (range).
3. Learn enough about your planet to make a good decision as to what it would be like to live there.
