Science Fair: Grades 6-8
All students attending Washington Jr. High & Academy are required to present a science fair project. Student ideas are subject to approval prior to experimentation. The below documents will help students and parents navigate the science fair process and ensure a successful project.
Science fair is divided into two parts: the experiment and the research paper. Students conduct experiments, collect and analyze data and draw conclusions outside of school. Students are required to create a power point presentation that will be presented to the class.
Joliet school district 86 utilizes Microsoft Office 2013. All science fair presentations must be compatible with that software so that they can be viewed electronically during class. Students will have access to school laptops to type presentations before or after school with an appointment if they do not have access outside of school.
